To start receiving and exchanging cryptocurrencies on the platform, you need to have an account using your email address and phone number.

Now, you may want to change the email address used in creating the account, and that’s where confusion sets in.

How to change your email on Binance

In this tutorial, am assuming that you already have an account with Binance exchange and you know your way around the platform.

I won’t into the process of creating and verifying account on the exchange.

Now, to change your email address, you need to log in on Binance and then follow the process on security settings page.

Once you’ve logged in your Binance account, you’ll be able to change your registered email.

You cannot change your email address using the Binance mobile app, as it’s only supported on the desktop version of the website.

Here are the steps to change your email address on the platform:

  1. Highlight or click on your profile icon
  2. Select and navigate to security settings
  3. Scroll to ‘Email Address’ and click ‘Change’ option
  4. Follow the on-screen instruction and guidelines
  5. Enable 2-FA authentification (Google mail or Phone SMS)
  6. Receive authentification (current email or phone number)
  7. Enter and confirm the 2-FA authentification code.

At this stage, you can now change the registered email on your Binance account to another one.

In the field provided, enter and confirm the new emaill address, then enter password and click ‘Confirm’ to change the email.

Once you change the emaill address, you may be logged out of your Binance account for a while.

The system may even decide to disable your withdrawals for 48 hours after changing the account email address.

This means you won’t be able to make withdrawals within the 48 hours.

The 48 hours ban is an unavoidable form of security on Binance, and I suggest check some other reasons to get this restriction.

Regardless of the reason, having too many email addresses can make it hard to stay updated on your account activities.

In addition, if you have an old email address that you no longer use, you might miss a lot of emails.

This will allow allow you to get notifications, security codes and your account activities to your new email address.

To change your email address on Binance, you still need access to your account with the old email address.

You may also need to get a verification code from your inbox to complete the security verification process.
